What do we do for these clients?
For many years we have been supplying U.K. Police Forces with Module 5 D13 training which is the Advanced Module required by all U.K. Authorised Firearms Officers. We started working with our Police Forces before the D13 element was officially formed and built a bespoke programme that gave these officers relevant and useful training from trainers with ground truth experience that has proved to be invaluable to them.We don’t just train Firearms teams though. Omni Medical Training and Consultancy have a long history training PSU (Police Support Unit) Medics, Roads Policing Units as well as the specialist training for all staff working within secure Custody environments.
We at Omni Medical Training and Consultancy also share our knowledge and experience in the industry to train Police trainers to deliver the non-specialist elements of First Aid such as Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work as well as AED training. This is supported with a regular programme of Quality Assurance and CPD events to ensure the best possible standards for end users.
U.K. Fire & Rescue Services currently have us at Omni Medical Training and Consultancy Training deliver their trauma training to crews, both on station as well as at regional training Centres. The training course of choice for these services is the First Person on Scene (FPOS) Intermediate course which is a B-tec Level 2 Qualification. We add in additional subject matter and go heavy on those elements that are particularly pertinent to Fire Fighters such as RTC’s, Smoke Inhalation and Burns.
Other clients such as those in custodial settings have bespoke courses designed for them by us that are relevant to the unique challenges faced at the different centres that they manage, this includes Basic First Aid, AED training and input on Self Harm, Suicide and a module on Paediatric Care.
The National Children’s Charities that we work with receive Level 3 Paediatric First Aid training for a variety of staff, volunteers and end users of services. We have worked with them for many years assisting and supporting them with training and advice.
Security Companies across the U.K., Europe and the Middle East have engaged us to deliver FPOS Intermediate training to their operatives. To ensure that the learners on these course gain the maximum benefits from this training and so it is suitable for the Hostile Environments that they work in we add in modules on tactical and remote medicine.
We pride ourselves on the high quality of our teaching staff and ensure that all trainers are not only exceptional instructors and communicators but are also clinically competent and have current and relevant experience in anything they teach.
They are regularly reviewed and observed by our senior trainers and also have desktop reviews of the training and feedback received.
